Zagreb and Samobor tour

From Ljubljana or Bled (Full day tour)

From Ljubljana pass Novo Mesto to Slovenian – Croatian Border. After 1,5h of driving we arrive to capital of Croatia, situated under Medvednica Mountain (Zagrebacka Gora) along the banks of the Sava river.

Our tour begins with the city centre where we visit Kaptol, known for the Cathedral and countinue to Zagreb’s most memorable sights in the fortified, mediaeval Upper Town. We’ll see the Church of St Marko with its brightly tiled roof, the baroque church of St. Catherine, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and the Parliament with the Government Palace.
From Upper to Lower City, stretching around the main square with statue of Ban Jelačić, we will see the 19th century National Theater, Museum of Arts & Crafts, the University and the beautiful Zrinjevac Park with its numerous elaborate Secession (Art Nouveau) buildings.

In the afternoon we will experience a different character of life when we visit small town Samobor, city famous for its culinary tradition and well-preserved 19th century charm. Our walk through Samobor will take us along the river Gradna, main town square and the castle Livadić. Return back to Ljubljana.
