We had a stop at Koper on a long & enjoyable Oceania cruise from Barcelona to Venice. For the day in Koper, we were fortunate to book with Roundabout for a full day tour to Lake Bled, which was gorgeous, and to Ljubljana, which was amazing.
The food choices were all delicious and it was great to see the city with a local’s perspective.View all reviews
Winter Karst and Coast Mystery tour
Discovering the Slovenian coast and and the Karst region
Next stop in one of the local taverns with the famous Karst air-dried prosciutto tasting; we like to think it is the best prosciutto in the world, accompanied with the local wine Teran – produced only in the Karst region.
Pass the coastal towns of Koper, Izola and Portoroz to reach everyone’s favourite spot on the Slovenian coast – Piran, where you can get lost in its medieval narrow streets and houses, enjoy some free time over an exquisite seafood meal in one of the many local restaurants or cafes.
